Yes, Frank...and the separation between church and state is gone. Evil has gotten the upper hand, and Jesus' House of Prayer for all peoples' is and has been under terrible attack and persecution.

The money-changers (like Republican strongholds) are still 'changing money' outside the Temple. They are still denying us our rights.

Well said, Frank. Combine all this with the impact of power-hungry right wing billionaires after the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, and we are faced with a perfect storm of challenges to democracy. There should be thousands of us protesting in the streets outside the Supreme Court!

This has all been orchestrated by Putin.

Trump is his puppet, Putin and Xi pull the strings. When Trump gets elected, there will be two main powers, China and Russia with the USA and Nth Korea as their underlings...but all dictatorships nonetheless. Frank is right - all being taken back to mediaeval times with modern technology. America, the bastion of democracy will be dead.

Only you Americans can prevent this by voting Democrat come November.

Hope you all wake up to yourselves.

Good for you, Frank!!

Your explanation makes perfect sense. They want to impose their beliefs on the rest of society. They think are divinely appointed...probably have God on speed dial.

....and as for your Constitutional Amendment stating separation of church and state, forget that.

Frank you are spot on.

So much this. And having a criminal in office provided them the means to do it bc he gave them the mechanism by getting in trouble

This is silly, Frank. Your hyperbole is over the top. “Monarchy?” Stop it. Your opinion would have been better without it, not as entertaining, maybe, but do you want to persuade people or rile a rabble? Oh wait. Never mind.

The Supreme Court just declared Presidents above the law. Over the top? Nah. Stop it? Please.

What next? Storm the Bastille?

OK. I’m in. Actually, I’m more concerned with our politics becoming bloody than I am with any monarchical POTUS.

It has only been 24 hours and not one person, right or left, believes that Trump wouldn't use these expanded above the law powers to literally put an end to his enemies list (That his supporters are cheering that fact is unsurprising if you were paying attention at all over the last decade).

Remember too that this is the same court that is actively dismantling a woman's right to her own body. For those women - all of them human beings with complex biologies that can't always be counted on to run smoothly or "as expected," mind you - I assure you that our politics has already gotten very, very bloody.

As for Storming the Bastille, I would settle for people learning from their third-party and do-nothing folly in 2000 and 2016 and simply voting in the largest numbers possible for the candidate who will create the most stable environment to work on the issues they claim to actually care about. George W. Bush and Donald Trump, both Republicans who lost the popular vote but still became president, appointed between them this current far-right 6-3 majority.

Everyone is clamoring for a hero when we have the greatest superpower of all; our vote. If "this isn't who we are," let's prove it.

I "Liked" this only because you dialed back your rhetoric. Peace!

Since the trajectory has already been determined by this decision the outcome cannot be anything than both monarchy and a bloodbath, until either force prevails over the other. I pity our kids.
