I understand Finland has a law against lying in the press. They kind of have to because they're next to Russia, whose modus operandi is disinformation. I think something like this would be feasible. It wouldn't be prohibiting opinions. It would be prohibiting the assertion of unfounded facts. Admittedly it would make our media landscape a little more boring, but in my opinion, if you want excitement, read novels and comic books, not news sites.

Excellent podcast. I am sending to every mom and Swiftie I know. I hope Swift, with her money, power, and clout radicalizes every follower to literally dump X, cause massive chaos and claim their power.

It is interesting that so many famous people and politicians speak of “our democracy.” Why do we not speak of our Constitutional Republic which is what we are. It would be good if we were all educated about what kind of government we started with in 1776 and what kind of government we are experiencing now. I found an informative website: www.phonix.k12.or.us that contrasts the two types of government as well as offering statements by the founding fathers of our country in regard to the dangers of a strict democracy and the wisdom of a Constitutionnal Republic. FYI!!

So no Democrats downloaded the AI video of Taylor Swift? Only “maga” cap wearing Republicans? Is this a fact? Did you research this opinion? Are you jumping to conclusions just because you have a beef with Republicans? (I am not a member of the Republican Party, just so you know.)
