Is anyone talking about or investigating government money support for “faith-based” initiatives? I remember this being a solution proposed by Bush administration. Perhaps, what looks fanatical is actually greed and these wolves just want to keep the money stream flowing?
Frank, you’re spot on again! Question: If Trump is a billionaire, why isn’t he giving away those Bibles? He says he wants to bring back prayer. Why not contribute with his own money rather than profiteer? Just saying)!
I, too, have a problem with fanaticism of all sorts! I suppose I am fanatically opposed to fanaticism😄. I have a problem with fanatical socialists and capitalists—there’s a happy medium—although at present we need to adjust towards socialism. One extreme on the continuum leads to totalitarianism and the other extreme fascism. Extremes or binary thinking is easier than dealing with the murkiness and compromise of a democracy that is not extreme and allows for all voices to be heard. We have to do the work of thinking, compromising, educating, and lumbering progress.
Hi Frank, I am a “moderate” liberal, and always have been. But in the mountains in Virginia where I grew up, this was an afront to my father. So in 1976, in my early 20s it was refreshing when I was in grad school in Greensboro, to be befriended by Rusty Lovin and his girlfriend Marilyn. A “good ole boy” of my parents’ generation, Rusty used to call and invite me to dinner, saying “I d like you to come over here and eat and argue with me.” Conversation, including debate and civil disagreement, is a great pleasure, and a mark of high civilization. It is hard to have these kind of rough and tumble but friendly conversations nowadays even with my friends to the left and right of me, everyone is so dug in and defensive.
Hi Anthony, just so. Of course, Trump winds up selling Biles! A fitting con with a long history. Thanks for watching! Frank

Well said, Frank! Thanks for saying it.
Excellent insights here, Frank. Thank you.

So thank you for speaking to this. Thank you also for bringing up the issue of gender.
