Reading The Gospel

Getting ready to start a new project.

Hey, this is Frank Schaeffer, and I’m in my studio.

In my living room, there’s a pile of movie-making equipment, a teleprompter, and all sorts of gear because we’re doing tests tomorrow.

Next week, I’m so excited to start recording my new book, The Gospel of Zip. I’m releasing it entirely for free—online, in sections, and then as a complete version. It will be available as both a video and an audiobook on YouTube and all our other platforms.

I’m done with the big publishing business. More people watch my videos in a month than read my books in a year, even though I’m a bestselling author. The medium has changed. The gatekeepers are gone. It’s all about direct contact now.

When I asked all of you on my lists what to do, most of you said, “Yes—give it away for free!” So that’s exactly what I’m doing.

The Gospel of Zip is about my dog, Zip, and my wife, Genie, and our 55-year relationship—well, 55 years with Jeannie, eight years with Zip. It’s personal, heartfelt, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

I start reading next week, and within about a month you’ll see it everywhere online.

Thank you for your advice, your kind words, and your encouragement. You’ll see it soon!

The Gospel of Zip is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a subscriber.
