This International Women’s Day, as Republicans howl that President Biden’s soaring, powerful, and inclusive State of the Union address (which called for things like raising teacher pay, voting rights, securing our borders, making education affordable and accessible, supporting families, and ending cancer) was ‘divisive’ and that there was ‘nothing in it for them’, they redouble their support for a man who boasted of sexual assault, gleefully stripped half of the country (all women) of their right to healthcare, and who, perhaps not coincidentally, just this morning succeeded in having his daughter-in-law installed as co-chair of the RNC as he posted a *$92 Million bond* to satisfy a judgement that he had defamed a woman he was found by a court to have raped.
It is not enough to support President Biden, which I enthusiastically do.
We must also stand up and denounce Donald Trump and those who empower him.
We are so much better than this.
