It is journalistic malpractice to harp on Joe Biden's "age" when his presumed opponent is a twice-impeached, indicted, credibly accused rapist who fomented a literal terror attack on our Capitol.
It’s all anyone is talking about and "Is Joe Biden too old?" is the wrong question. The only question anyone should be asking is, "Is Joe Biden the only person standing between us and the fall of our democracy to a venal, fascistic, twice-impeached, indicted traitor who fomented a literal terror attack against our Capitol in an attempt to steal the last election that Joe Biden beat him in?"
The Media owes us a more responsible discourse on this potential matchup. Now is the time to join the largest coalition in our democracy’s history and rally behind the incumbent president who literally saved our country from ruin and elect sane, sensible leaders, young and older, to every office and defeat this current wave of authoritarianism. Hold the Biden Harris Administration to account, sure, but we can not afford to be frivolous and dilute our power, because the Republican Party is in Lock Step with Donald Trump and they don’t care that he is a treasonous criminal. THEY LOVE HIM.
Trump delivered to them the Supreme Court that is currently stripping us of all of the progress made in the 20th Century, and they aren’t half finished with us. If Donald Trump is, God Forbid, reelected, it is game over for your daughters’ future as autonomous human beings. It is game over for your Gay friends’ marriages and families. It is game over for your Black and Trans friends’ very lives. And you can forget about the teaching of history, the objective truth, and the future of our planet itself. The GOP will never stop until they are stopped, and they would love nothing more than to see “Democrats in Disarray.” Do not give them the pleasure.
Let us unite behind President Biden and Vice President Harris and once again put the budding authoritarians of the GOP back in the ash heap of history where they belong!
