I need your advice.

Actually, I'm asking for your help.

I’ve been writing books for over 40 years—maybe 15 or 16 of them by now—but this one feels different. The Gospel of Zip is a love story. One about my wife, Genie, who I’ve been with for 55 years since we were teenagers. And one about our dog, Zip, who sleeps in my bed and takes care of me like a night nurse. It’s also a story about what it means to live joyfully, to love well, and to rediscover the survival of the friendliest. It’s taken me seven years to write, and I think it might be the most important thing I’ve ever done.

Now here’s the part I need your help with: I’m thinking of giving it away.

No publisher, no paywall.

The Gospel Of Zip is a reader-supported project. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Just me, reading it aloud to you in short sections on YouTube, Substack, and everywhere else I post.

Would you listen? Would you watch? Would it matter to you? I’m serious—I want to hear from you. Should I do this? Yes or no?
